![]() The saddest of all love songsA Poem by Magdelena![]() Love rules all, even memories..![]() ![]() Softly she plays for him
The melody of sweet love To her one and only The man she has ever loved. Yet so far away he has gone On a promise of returning to the seas of where she stays. Tis a promise he had made On that cold winters day. His love was special, true and divine Just the two of them, with nothing but sweet time Like wrapped in a bottle, preserved to never leave Yet only to uncork it, then disappear into the sea. So each night on this ledge, of the cliff by the sea She stands under the moons bright rays And softly plays her violin to the breeze Her song of love, of hope and faith. The music softly sounding out Along with her fate... The song of heartbreak The song of loss The song of deep pain For the love she had lost. Each night she stands Her boa still and quiet, eyes closed Then slowly... She starts to play The sound pouring forth with such beauty. For what was once, now no longer, for now gone Her dreams now just mere memories Their time together now faded far away And her tears fall so gently. Towards the sea down below The water's edge greedily catches them To never let them go Like all other lovers, that did the same. Her tears to blend with them And so shall others one day And she plays.. And plays.. Her song to her true love.. The heavens listen quietly To the sweet sounds below. For no other sound so heartfelt No other sound so filled with despair As coming from the woman The woman with the long flaming black hair. To the breeze, she sends them With hopes that one day he might hear Along the wind it passes, and along with it her fear For him to never come back, is something she could not bear. So with her heart she plays The saddest of all love songs That she's ever sent forth The melody moves forward, then the wind carries each note. To the sky.. The heavens.. Her true love, she prays.. For the melody to reach him On one windy day To have him remember What they shared before he went away. So till then she will stand, and softly play Her music of love, of her pain and heartbreak Her song for her one and only Her song for her one true love.. In the saddest of all love songs, she plays on and on Into the darkest of the nights With the moons rays shinning down on her Keeping her safely in its sight. © 2009 MagdelenaFeatured Review
