I remember

Love may leave, but it never departs...

The clicking sound of the CD sounds out
 Letting me know of a new song about to come on
Eyes closed, I listen
The soft strains of a love song pours forth.

Your name you always called me
A smile lights my face
Then slowly it leaves
Tears then.. They start to flow.

The memories come rushing in
Of me. You. Us
Oh how we were
Us two.

Oh what a wonder we were! 

Our dreams taking us along the path to heaven
Each moment so special that it brought tears to my eyes
Then you would turn to me
That special smile you held, upon your lips.

And you called me Lady

Your beautiful Lady
I would laugh
And your hand would reach out and gently touch my cheek
My eyes would close each time.

For so special you made me feel
So loved. Adored. Wanted
I would float on a cloud of the softest fill
No man has ever made me feel that, love so real.

The crackling of the fire brought me out of memory
The sound of the CD starting to repeat
Once again the soft sounds rang out

I slowly sing along..
Tears falling with each word
My heart feeling like it would explode
From the pain within.


I remember, I whispered to the silence..
