Two hearts

 

 

 How far will our love go,

Till we realize it has left?

How much pain will we withstand,;

Till we finally let go of the regrets?

 

Do we keep on playing the game?

Acting the fool?

Telling ourselves,

That this is what we must do?

 

I watch as you look at her

Your heart on your sleeve

Your eyes always following her

When you think I don't see.

 

I sit and just stare

No words do I say

For nothing is left

Now just another day.

 

Oh what we once had...

 

Such a love that was adored

Two people madly in love

Nothing in our way

Yet now look at us.

 

For there is nothing this day..

 

Except lies and deceit

Photos from the past

Old and faded

Burning down fast.

 

Scorched till all that remains

Is the dust from days gone by

I look upon them now

And all I can do is cry.

 

Two hearts we once shared

That all that stood was one

And now when I see us

All that's left is now done.

 

 

So tell me my love,

Please if you will...

Yes How far does one go? I wish I knew . This is a questioning poem one to which one must say this is far enough I will take no more! but how far is far?

A very sensetive and mentally destructive piece. The pain true love causes on one end, or possibly botoh the struggling feelings locking inside this poem. I love it , pure emoitonal stuff
