The Great Misleading Ocean BlueA Poem by Maeve Autumn WigginsThe ocean calls to me, not because it's cold on a hot summers day, or the most beautiful thing to see, but because it is unique, and nothing else can ever compare.I look across the ocean blue. So misleading, pure and true. The waves tell a story, rippled in glory. I look across the ocean blue. One million boats with fish on deck, One million shadows each casting light. I step into the ocean blue. Her waves push me back upon the sand, But she reels me in at the same time. I stare into the ocean blue. Each wave is a page, Waiting to be read. Each wave is a piece of the story, As the winding plot unravels. © 2016 Maeve Autumn Wiggins |
