The Great Misleading Ocean Blue

The Great Misleading Ocean Blue

A Poem by Maeve Autumn Wiggins
"

The ocean calls to me, not because it's cold on a hot summers day, or the most beautiful thing to see, but because it is unique, and nothing else can ever compare.

"

I look across the ocean blue.

So misleading, pure and true.

The waves tell a story, rippled in glory.

I look across the ocean blue.

One million boats with fish on deck,

One million shadows each casting light.

I step into the ocean blue.

Her waves push me back upon the sand,

But she reels me in at the same time.

I stare into the ocean blue.

Each wave is a page,

Waiting to be read.

Each wave is a piece of the story,

As the winding plot unravels.
