ParadiseA Poem by MadziaHere I am, in paradise, where the sun won’t rise. Surrounded by smiles, disguised, I smile, I try, just getting by, am I alive? I’m tired of playing that same part, The one who cries after the savior, The one with defeated behavior. Stuck on repeat, I bleed, the same old wounds, I give up the defeat. I stand by the beach, dissolve in the heat, My feet, dissolve in the ocean, Carry me away sweet notion. It’s my devotion to the highest power that breaks the tower. Rocks tumble, world crumbles, I stumble, Confusions clearly illusions. How could I be so blind? The light blinded, blindsided, can’t find it in the darkest night. Why do I fight? What do I fight for? To right the wrong? That’s right! My weapon is the siren’s song. It matters, it batters,
it shatters the patterns, it breaks the threads, No more threats to my female divine! I shine, I find my mind to be beautiful, I have the power, I have the tool. My voice is magic, I have it, the rabbit in the hat, the
flower up the sleeve. The wave retracts, my feet reappearing, I catch the
salty breeze. Mother of earth, gift me a rebirth. Let my search be the
torch, my light be the fire, Let the path be my desire to inspire. Allow me to be, in my
entirety, entirely me. © 2017 MadziaFeatured Review
