Just Another DetentionA Poem by MadisonJRJust a random writing while I was in detention.
Just sitting in detention
That's four in just two weeks It's only been one suspension For now at least This year has been different From all of the others Used to be an A and B student Now my grades are C's and lower I wonder what happened to me Just thinking of the old me My smiles were infectious I wasn't too funny But people were still laughing Young and carefree Full of hope and wonder Its crazy to think That I used to be like that I don't smile as often I don't tell jokes like I used to All I do is drink coffee Stressing about my future Barely getting out of bed I'd rather slumber But I'm just sitting in another detention Letting my mind wander into another dimension
