Tragedy

I had gone through sexual abuse for 7 years. I am nervous for what will happen so I wrote what I thought.

Meeting with the DA 

I wonder if they'll listen

To the tragic thing that happened

Or will they say its been 4 years 

To late to do something 

I stay up late pondering 

If it'll go to court or not 

I toss and turn and cry a lot 

But mom doesn't notice 

I want him locked up 

With the other monsters like him 

But I don't know if it will happen

If it does I will be relieved 

But if it doesn't I will probably scream

The nightmares, panic attacks and isolation 

Were because of him 

The reason I self harmed and nearly took my life 

Were because of him 

My self worth and self esteem crushed 

Were because of him 

If they do nothing that means I lost my voice

Only for myself

I'll help others like me and put those mother fuckers in jail

If anyone has gone through this I am very sorry. I know what it is like but you are strong and you will get through it. People do not like to talk about these subjects but I think it should change. Speak up for yourself and others. I am always here if anyone wants to talk. Thank you for reading this.

No words can explain how deeply sorry I am for you nor can I say that I have experienced it as well. But, I am a witness of watching something, you, become so beautiful and strong despite the pain you had to endure. It took bravery to not only manage what you had dealt, but find it within you to reach out to others, truly brave and an act you should be proud of yourself for.
