The storms of traumaA Poem by MadisonJRThis poem shows the levels of trauma, but using storms to represent the steps.
Trauma is like a tsunami
Hitting the house's along the beach Leaving a once beautiful house, To despair and broken wood beneath your feet. Later on it turns into a tornado. All the broken pieces of wood get lifted up They start to spin and smash into each other Once everything stops spinning all you see is dust That once beautiful house is now lost forever. When things seemed like they were never going to get better Your house was starting to be built, The base was stronger than it ever was before. The walls holding up the roof were stronger than any tsunami or tornado. There are still earthquakes that will shake the house It will frighten you, but this house will not break like the last This house can withstand any storm it comes across Your new house is very strong so go help others build their house after the brutal storm © 2017 MadisonJRAuthor's Note
