New Year ResolutionsA Poem by MadhusudhaWhere went, those long days and endless hours, I wonder As I rip the 31st of December off my calendar, And those resolutions, to do! The book I just had to write, Sitting up, scribbling into the night. Drooling over pretty dresses to choose. Determined, I would make the best cake, As I let the dust mites, the spiders take over Knit and Purl and make a bow. Learn a language, also, garden and grow. What was I doing, I pray That led my plans astray. I could have, I do fear If only, I planned ahead, Oh dear! Nibbled only one extra cookie, I swear Well, I console myself, look at the positive side I lean back, smiling ear to ear © 2017 MadhusudhaFeatured Review
