Perfect

Perfect

A Poem by Madhu

NO P ODY IS PERFECT, said the little doll my niece had
Funny, Have you met her ? I thought to myself.

She may not be as perfect as a bouquet of tulips
But she is that one marigold, fighting her way through a dead forest

She may not be as perfect as a sunny day in the beach
But she is that one Maple tree to have seat under in Autumn

She may not be as perfect as that symphony on a rainy day
But she is that Cup of Coffee which you would find, not too warm - not too cold

She may not be as perfect as that sunrise around the mountains
But she is that sunset lurking around the seaside

My dear, if you are reading this,
Do you know what’s really perfect ?
Oh mi amor, You and that Sun Red dress of yours
