One Night stand

One Night stand

A Poem by Madhur Khanna
"

A lover's experience after a one night stand with the most beautiful girl he met in his life.

"

One night stand

A passionate stream of blood flows again,
and ignites my infatuation, buried deep down
and I wonder is this just me
or an epidemic in town?

A single glimpse of your single eye
deploys the merry mountain’s breeze
the other eye covered by your shining curls
make me run a thousand miles around, while on my path I seize.

Yes I have you with me
Yes world’s obstacles are signs of high tide
but with your fingers interlocked with mine
love is what I feel with every stride.

As I lay you in my arms once again
forgetting the long gone pain
Devil sun disturbs me at dawn
and before I can say it once again, you’re gone.

And I turn to stop the ring,
see you on the side table smiling.
My face in yours I see
the glass reflecting both of us.

As a dream you first came
and once again a dream you became.
And all that’s left now, is your name.

Don't go on the title. This title is almost a sarcastic comment on the poem itself.
