My dear Chimmi – Part 2

My dear Chimmi – Part 2

A Story by Madhavan

She turned towards my side with a jerk… She still dint open her eyes.. She told in a very harsh voice “I do not need any friends… Mind your own business…”

I was very much hurt on hearing those words.. Till that day in my life, I have never experienced such an insult from anyone… Everyone in our classroom were shocked on hearing what she said.. But even after that incident, I wanted to be her friend… I know that all of you would think that am crazy but I could not help myself… There was something in her eyes that disturbed me… Why is she always closing her eyes, is she injured? Is that why she was behaving to me like this???

God she can’t be injured… Even though she is haughty I like her so much, don’t know why…. When I was thinking like this, her pencil fell down, she bent down to search for it… That was, when I confirmed that she was blind… I found the reason for her anger towards me… I found tears flowing from my eyes.. I immediately rushed and kept the pencil near her hand so that she can easily find that out… She found that I came near her again, with my footsteps… She again repeated “Please leave me, I do not need any friends”.. This time it was with tears… Meanwhile since I had kept the pencil near her hand, she found that out and sat on her seat…

I did not want to hurt her more, so I went and sat in my place. But I decided that I should become a very close friend of her and comfort her..
