Beauty is in the Eye

Beauty is in the Eye

A Poem by LynntheLyrical

Before him, she walked like she wanted to be hidden.
Spoke like she never wanted to be heard.
Then he came.
The one who made her voice ring like the bells in a church at Christmastime.
The one who touched her face and looked at her like she was all he'd ever seen.
Then she knew.
She was a creature not merely worth of admiration,
But of love and joy and all that living held for her.
Suddenly she walked as though the ground moved beneath her,
Instead of she on its surface.
People looked at her in awe,
Instead of through her at the wall.
Suddenly,
She moved as a wave moves
Each movement fluid and easy.
She was finally as beautiful to the world
As he had always known her to be.

Quite a view of the power of being noticed upon a human psyche...
