Lilac

Lilac

A Poem by Madeline Marie
"

Expression of infatuation with the possibility of true love without fear.

"
Lilac eyes,
content in my bonds, I am here by no surprise.
No longer tempted by half-witted fondling hands,
yours is the only one I care to grasp.
My kiss is locked in careful surrender with the wish to no longer be a contender.

My prayer is bold in the claim of your grace, I know.
I am worthy though and these stirring would not go even if your words crossed, "no".

Grazing the planes of your transparent face, even in the coldest of days, your eyes gave way.
I feel what I say will not go in vain, though my hands tremble as I stain the page.

This is beautiful. The words used really show a picture. The middle stanza is difficult for me to understand though. What do you mean? "I am worthy though and these stirring would not go even if your words crossed, 'no'." Who is speaking and is 'these' the right word or is it supposed to be 'stirrings'?
