Elemental

Elemental

A Poem by Maddi

Water seeps over crags,
Iridescent bridal veils,
Murmur in the breeze.

Clouds drift so gently,
Billowing; forming pictures.
Endless spirals float.

Deep, dark and strong roots,
Hold up the Earth so tightly.
We devour her fruit.

A natural blaze,
Smokes, singes, with a yellow tongue.
A bright inferno.

They are feeble alone.
But together they are strong.
They protect out home.

I love the elements! Air is my favorite element as well as my favorite stanza in this poem. I like how you personify nature in interesting ways. It's always a good time to celebrate Earth's beauty. Good job. :)

I love this. I especially enjoy how you're so descriptive in only seventeen syllables.

I've always had a fascination for the four base elements. Probably from playing too much Final Fantasy. You've given a great description of each image and element, and the last haiku makes for a great ending. Nice one!
