of plastic dolls, run by toy soldiers. Cheap neon sex, lined up along
the street. Take your pick, ready your wallet. A small, tinny voice. “Ready when you are, hon.” Mimicking those old time prostitutes. But, is this what you wanted? The act itself, cold and methodical, done already a hundred times, and then some. “You get what you paid for, hon.” Pick yourself up, shell out the cash and be on your way. Try again some other time. Another day. New street. Haven't I heard this story before? Sit up now. Cheap cigarette. Inhale
her precise puffs, receive no warmth. All for show. Money is no object anymore. It is
true, this day and age, you really can get one hell of a bargain. And
maybe you do like it. In fact, you crave it. Every ounce of your body
and mind needs it. That blatant disregard. Strictly business.
Goodbye, glad we'll never have to see each other again. Emotions
weigh you down, a waste of time. No commitments. Shed away the old
like an itchy skin. You do enjoy it this way. No secrets anymore. Wandering and sampling whatever you can. Yes you do so love it this way, because you yourself are cold and methodical. © 2012 Madeline AshwellReviews
