Kindness

The rain clouds forming above his head

The sadness in his eyes

The hurt in his voice when he said

"Really, I am fine"

But someone beyond the clouds and sadness

Could be seen from afar

Her cheeriness ready to chase away all the blackness

In his hurting heart

Helping him up off the ground

She gave him a small smile

The guesture of the girl he'd found

Had taken him a mile

The rain clouds running away

The joy in his eyes once again forming

The glee in his voice when he went to say

"Your kindness is quite heartwarming"
