The Devil In Me

The Devil In Me

A Poem by Madhoora

Days had been passing in the blink of an eye.
Neither wit nor will
Realized it was a futile try

The world has been spinning
And my conscience could hear
Its death knell ringing

The last piece of fear burnt in the fire of rage.
Tempest ceased.
War was about to wage.

Wanting to tear myself into a million pieces,
Finally I let go of the strings of hope.
The eternal pain of envy was too much to cope.

For once and for and for all

I knew it was all in my head.
Towards the door my numb feet tread.

Willinfg to finally set myself free,
As i looked in the mirror,
I saw the devil in me.
