It Will Get Better

Strange.

I walk into the same room,

Close the same door,

Look out the same window,

And sit down once more on the same bed.

Nothing has changed around me,

Yet I am a different matter;

My shoulders are no longer tense,

My mind is no longer swamped by worries.

Instead, a sense of peace replaces it,

And for the first time in a while,

A genuine smile dawns on my face.

It’s in the past, I can rest now.

Dear friend,

Even though things seem hard right now,

There will come a day when

Your shoulders are no longer tense,

Your mind free from worries,

A genuine smile will dawn on your face.

Don't lose hope, I promise you that

It will get better.
