Catching BreathA Poem by Caution In FlamesStanding on a stage microphone in my hands shaky but trying to keep it together like the bands Six-year-old hands clinging to the railing of my old two-story LA home while listening to my parents fight and feeling far too alone "There is a castle on a cloud," I sang a lullaby to myself every night "Where no children cry," Wishing it'll all be alright. Even just last night, sitting on the ground of a Walmart restroom crying my eyes out for too many reasons just wanting to be alone in my bedroom Life is a roller coaster without any seatbelt you just gotta hold on tight and hope you'll be alright. It's like the catching of a breath in space seems impossible, but God you'll find a way there'll always be a way.
