Beaten Girl

Beaten Girl

A Poem by Caution In Flames
"

Story of a beaten girlfriend.

"
I've been giving you chances
hoping you'd come around.
I've been everywhere and back
but I'm always left on the ground.

You done kicked me, punched me
threw my heart on the floor
traded kisses goodnight for fists
and slamming doors.

Tired of smelling your cigarettes
three AM on the phone
Calling up another hooker to
be your little drone

I'm in a hotel room
with the chain tied on the door
scared you'll come to hit me
once more

Got a baby inside can't
deal with this anymore
She can't grow up in a house
where you're breaking down the doors

Every little smile and pretty
blonde curl
hides the secrets of a girlfriend who's
also a beaten girl

Great job of putting these emotional words together.

Whoa... that's really powerful... Kinda reminds me of me and my mom sometimes. :/ Great job on this one...
