the tree outside my window!

the tree outside my window!

A Poem by maddie

theres a tree outside my window,

he’s growing very tall,

his branches winding in and out

as his leaves begin to sprawl!

he’s always there to lean on,

or to lend a branch for shade,

he even lended a stick or two

for my stand of lemonade!

he is a kind old tree,

with a laugh as bright as the sun,

he’s always there from morning to night

until the days’ work is done.

he is very reliable

you can always count on him,

he’s always ready to do what he can

and the next day he’ll do it again!

theres a tree outside my window

and he’s growing very tall,

i think the sign he’s sending

is to grow the ‘tree’ that’s within us all!

What a great poem! I can't believe I didn't see this before. Love it! Great job.

I liked the rhyming in this one. The last lines indicate a deeper meaning, possibly a spiritual one. The tree of life is a symbol used in ancient myths.

PS: consider using loaned instead of lended.
