Reinvention

Reinvention

A Poem by LadyT

Our eyes met again and again.
It was a late summer night with no chance of rain.

Missed the way you gained my trust.
Walls fell I thought indestructibly robust.

Found myself in your affirmation,
so I started my reinvention.

The consciousness of your love being with someone other was always on my mind.
Still you are brilliant and kind.

Instead of losing myself in misery,
you got my loyalty.

Instead of pain,
I choose reinvention.

A toast to a deep friendship.
A toast to a productive union.

I have a very close friend who would say the same to me...and I to her.
She shows me that trust and sharing can get us through the worst times.

Sounds as though things are going well. Hold steady to course.

Wonderful. I believe this is rather beautiful piece. Sometimes we just have to accept things as the way they are and adept accordingly.
