Beauty

Beauty

A Poem by Madame Murrell

They say that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder", but whose eyes would ever behold this "beauty"? A "beauty" that has never been in existence, a "beauty" that's definitely missing. A "beauty" that's unnoticed, a "beauty" that's unseen, a "beauty" that's not airbrushed and perfect like the women in the magazines. I don't have this "beauty" that society seems to honor and desire, if I was to say that I did, then I would definitely be a liar. I want to be "beautiful" but would that ever be? If I can' t be it in reality, then atlease I could be it in my dreams

At your age and with the fire in your eyes that some of your writing suggests, honey, your beauty is a given. All women want to be acknowledged as "beautiful", even if only waaay deep down inside. But, confidence, intelligence and passion? No plastic surgeon to date can recreate that.
