SAME TEAM WITH WHO?

Memoirs of a Butterfly

Worms invited me to a marshy party

To be held some nearby muddy pond.

On the invited list were Snails, millipedes, maggots

And all manner of crawling and creeping freaks.

 

I refused.

When they asked me

“Dude, thought we were on the same team”

“Same team with who” I responded

"I have in me a butterfly

But if I hang out with you guys

I will remain a caterpillar".

 

They look at me with disgust

As I walk away with my swag.
