Shallow and Cold

Just a little thought twist, not a very strong one.

 

Run, run now as far as you can

Run, and don’t ever look back

Run, and make no attempt to see

The horror you brought to yourself

 

Scream, scream for your life

Scream, and be heard to all

Scream, and make no attempt to stop

For that may be your only hope

 

I see no future in your soul

I see no life in your eyes

Not like the life I have seen

 

I am starting to feel

The one emotion I fear

If my mind can’t rationalize this thought

Then I will surely fall victim to you

 

And for once, maybe I should…

I actually think this is a very strong poem. Your words are strenth
in themselves. There is darkness, yet there is power. You command
when you write. You put your whole self out there when you write,
leaving yourself vulnerable, like most of us do. We become who we are
when we write, no hiding. This is one of my favorites of yours:).
