Inana by TradeA Poem by The Mad ProphetThe Sumerian Goddess of Love, The Home, and Vengence... Who to think they all work so well together?
This is my goal for her
This is my life I give
The purpose of love is to honor her
And my purpose for her is love
Here I lay, broken, and astray
But for this one chance
I give it all I can
I look up at the Venus Sphere
A celestial gift I see now
I look toward her
Knowing my vows secretly
If I give you my all
I can not take it back
If I give my soul
I can never forge a new
This is my vow
I can only love you
Inana is fair, but she’s also vengeful
If I don’t protect the home
She will surely be disgraced
She may grant us love
But she can forcefully abandon
She may show us each other
Meaning we must be forever
She is the 3rd seal
For love knows no bounds
What must never be broken
Is our love united
We must unite as one
In her honor she gave us
We know her to be true
Now it is time to stay true
Know this as her law has stated
She will not waste her time on love
That will not last a life time
If we are caught with another passion
Her eyes will look away in disgust
The heavens then will sunder
And strike the very soul that fouled her
So let love be eternal
If love is in her name
