Into My Forbidden Place

Into My Forbidden Place

A Poem by The Mad Prophet
"

This is the only time I may admit I need someone. I have never dated, never loved, but I am starting to reconsider. This is a journey into something way too alien for me.

"

Come with me, as I hold your hand
Let me drag you into my forbidden place
Into my inner mindscape
A place where the Earth meets the Moon
A land only assessable through me
As I am the point were
The Earth meets the Moon

This is a realm of beauty and magic
But all your magic is more beautiful

I bring you closer to me
As we fall into a well of golden light
Let it coarse through us both
And let the light in us be one

My realm is a secret place
Where I share with no one
So to you, I hold the highest trust
For my heart can’t bear much more

This is a realm of pain and torment
But all your light will sooth me

I mesh all my pain here
With hope for the one who can remove it
Someone with the inner light
To destroy me

As I am still darkness
Reincarnation of the spirit is over due
And all though I fear you getting close
I know your light is stronger then my will

This is a realm of darkness and emptiness
But your will is so much stronger

I know you can break my darkness
You hold the only key in my heart
You hold the only candle in your soul
That is why I want to touch you

I know my fears will not let that be
I know for fact, I am a coward
And if I don’t dissolve
I will become more then darkness

This is a realm of dark desires
But I can’t stand seeing you hurt

I am more afraid of your pain
Then the pain I had to endure
In hope to see you happy
Would consume my very essence

I desire your happiness
I wouldn’t wish for anything more
But I know I can’t bring it to you
For I have never learned

This is a realm of paradox
And I know you are the solution

Let me close your mind
And remove all the anchors of thought
Let me pierce your mindscape
Let me be in your dreamscape
I just want to be, near you…

You say this is a journey into an alien land for you... that you have never loved. These words feel to me like they are written by one who has loved for ages but never revealed it to the object of their obsession...

I thought while reading this that perhaps you were taking the reader on a journey...

"Come with me, as I hold your hand, Let me drag you into my forbidden place"

I suppose that could be the case... but the words don't seem to be from a person who has never loved, only one who has never had their desire quenched by drinking the soothing wine from the lips of their beloved... "This is a realm of paradox And I know you are the solution" The angst of love and longing make this all the more intoxicating.

You are really talented. It was a heartbreaking piece that reminded me so much of Phantom of the Opera, which I loved....

Wow!!!

A fabulous work!

Once started to read one is unable to stop. I'd file this piece into 'Art of Writing'!
You've done an incredible job here. The little black lines are my favorites and give even more power to the other grandiose lines.
An insightful, strong and very profound work!
Kudos!

This is amazingly powerful. And very very very deep. The side stanza's are my favorite, and I feel like they reveal a lot through out the poem.

Keep writing, this is very intense stuff.!
