Mad House KingA Poem by Mad MinionAn excerpt from my short story; The Domino EffectTo dearest
visitors; Read if you may
In the house of
jailbirds The prisoners sing Here, a game of
role-plays are all part of the tricks; One thinks he’s Humpty The other thinks
himself King So which fool are
you; the Humpty or the
King?
The curtains of freakshows
are now drawn open, So I bid you to
play along For the tricksters
bring misfortune to those who
disobey their calling songs.
A glass of poison,
a glass of wine The Mad House keeps secrets that are meant to be
found; At every corner
there are eyes, and at every cranny
there are ears. “Drink!” says the King,
whichever glass you please.
Beware of the
warden, but pay no mind The more you know,
the less you’ll find Do
not
trust April; the season of lies Lost souls roam the
cells, forever angry, eternally grieved.
DaNgeR!
DangERoUs niGHt The cannibals feast
and no residents are missed Tick tock; goes
Humpty Dumpty; your time is ticking out, In this kingdom of madness
there is no escape but one only, And that is through… iNsanItY.
