SALVATIONA Poem by Mad Minionanother random dribbleThe world we live in is a world filled with green loving fools Fools who drank themselves into oblivion with their mines of gold That even if the world were to fall into damnation they would remain as they are, Ignorant fools Who bask themselves around hungry wolves in disguise As their salvation lies solely in their jewels and diamonds And the poor would witness as they cause mass of destruction Only to elude themselves back into their money and vast carelessness And rather reside in their illusion of a perfect world in which they built For ignorance is only privileged to those with unflawed hands Seeking warmth in the mountains of wealth they assemble, And finding home in the grand soirees they held Should they be contempt with their lives For all that matters to them are money and power? One should not scorn poverty when one cannot endure hardship Because while we dwell in the comforts of a furnace There are those who would shiver under the mercy of the winter sky Praying to survive another day, when all they had was each other As their salvation lies in their hope for a better future.
