FROSTA Poem by Mad MinionFirst attempt at poem- if you could call it that xpThe snow piles and sun-kissed flowers wither in their final moment Demode windows laced with solid ice I watch the fallen traces of white as I lay on the cold bed I wonder, If I asked for it, will the season's hourglass stop for me? It was a cold winter day, mid-December Glimmering dewdrops graced the trees brilliantly Sparkling like rare jewels Feeling the grass covered snow beneath my fingertips As tales of faraway prince and princesses lullaby me to sleep Magnificent chandelier soared high, illuminating the radiant room Silhouettes glided through the halls with profound elegance Them of the timeless beauty gathered For a soiree held to celebrate the coming winter season Awestruck as the fireworks weaved its way into the stars Hands clutched like unbreakable chains As the night shook while thunders roared And for what seemed like eternity, the storm had finally ceased But those comforting hands never left my smaller ones And instead gathered me in her arms with hushed whispers Time flows like an hourglass filled with sand My frail body no longer able to keep up with its flow My breath hitched, and I knew my time had come Time is like frost, melting when summer comes Just like the passing autumn colours, I close my eyes for eternal spring awaits on that winter night
