Unnamed In The MiddleA Poem by TJBFirst attempt at something like this. Sounds more like a bad story but whatever lol
Darkness was the only thing there before the basements threshold
Blue lights flickering and dimming as if a sign to turn away Immobilized at the thought of turning around, strange Three pillars stand within this eerily illuminated room Stepping within them those lights now shine as if a new found power beseech them Bright cylinders appear within the back of the room once again silent Only one contains anything which has now opened Out comes a metal being hidden within the smoke-like substance that emanated from it's container So cold it appeared to be but eyes lit as if trapped in a lucid dream for an eternity Something flowed from it's metallic cheeks as it looked towards the hidden heavens Freedom it sang once twice even a third time as if a spell that wasn't working Staring in awe the creature turned and before blinking was outside Looking now at the face illuminated you could see flesh atop, what was it really Frowning after smiling peering into the blue sky for so long realizing differences Afraid of what has become of the purity retained from long ago People start to notice this half fleshy half metallic anomaly on the road Soon after sirens ensue and recognizing prepares for a battle Four cars down the realization of worldly differences not understood flees Military sirens soon blare and feels it's time to be released from this horrible dream As the damage is received falling upon newspaper laughing hysterically This is not a rancid future feared this is the bad past destroyed for years Closing eyes laughing now knowing the truth reaching to the sky again saying freedom Realizing the words of this dying entity using his body the world reaches his remembrance Then the story repeats memory in tact for us not for the lonely creature forever realizing too late No one ever knowing his name his origins only the cause he exists for
