i had a muse

i had a muse

A Poem by Madame

I had a muse,
he was quite real,
and with him i would play.
Our words would flow
and intertwine,
with them we loved each day.

But then my muse
he grew quite Ill,
with him my words went away.
I worried would my muse be back?
Would he still want to play?
I sat in wait
and worried by day.
I tried to write,
but words wouldn't say.
I found release in other things,
for my words were stuck like glue.
Inside my head, all alone,
they bounced and changed in toil,
but never made it to my pen.
You see, my muse had left me spoiled.

I woke this morning, and just checked in
to glimpse some empty page,
where loving words ought to be
but for so long have not been.
sadly i clicked,
awaiting disappointment.

and lo!

What did i behold?
his words appeared.
Words of gold,
filled the page below.
A smile returned,
and words went wild.
For my muse had come home.

DieingEmbers was such an aspiring muse before he dissappeared, maybe he will return one day. You pen him such a tender tribute through your friendship and your missing him. Keep em' coming
