Dormant Words Decay

Dormant Words Decay

A Poem by Madame

Day after day
in my brain words play
they toss and tumble
they rumble
and lie in wait to explode from my pen

but day after day
in my mind they stay
i toss and turn them
polish them so
for my father used to say
every time you write the words
you take away the power to do them

so in my mind they stay
lay dormant
and decay
