Chapter (4) THE COW

Chapter (4) THE COW

A Chapter by MAD ENGLISHMAN

The Cow

A black and white cow went out for the day,

She didn’t have a car,

so she walked all the way.

After a while she met a farm cat,

They both said “Hello”

and stopped for a chat.

“I really must go” said the cow,

as she got to her feet,

then with a flick of her tail

she trotted off down the street.

When she arrived at the town,

it was getting quite late,

but she stopped for a moment

to rest on a gate.

She bought some lace and bag of Sweetcorn,

And some clover seeds to plant in her lawn.

By the time she got home,

it was darker than soot.

She was limping a bit from a stone in her foot.

She put the things she had bought,

away in a drawer,

then she lay down to sleep,

on some straw, on the floor.

I think she was very tired.
