IT'S BEEN A STRANGE SORT OF DAY.

SOMEWHERE OVER THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD

A country girl from Colorado

Was captured by a large tornado.

She fell, on a road of yellow brick

It turned her stomach and made her sick.

Her search for Toto didn't look good

When she saw her shoes now red with blood.

Her little dog lay by her side

He'd stopped too quick, how sad, he died.

A scarecrow with no brain came by

To see who'd fallen from the sky.

His straw was full of mites and mice

He smelled a lot it wasn't nice.

A man of tin he played a part

A rusty heap that had no heart.

His joints all creaked he was a wreck

And rust was creeping up his neck.

They met a lion brown and fat

He was a cowardly scaredy cat.

He couldn't fight he had no pride

Just stood in fear and peed and cried.

A wicked witch who's not so nice

Made all of Oz a land of ice.

Our little girl with friends in tow

Walked on into the land of snow.

The Munchkins cried go kill the witch

And throw her body in a ditch.

So Dorothy she took a sword

And  killed the witch how quite absurd.

I love the concept here it's wonderfully written as always Mad Englishman however I would suggest a little editing particularly with punctuation it's not quite up to your usual standard, thank you for sharing your work!
