STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM TEAS.

I bin'  watchin'  tennis, on the tele'  all today

I bin'  sittin'  watchin,  as they both come out to play.

I wuz  sittin'  gettin' bored, when I heard a sort of Bop,

an' I wuz  thinkin' it had started then it all came a stop.

Then one man hit the ball again, and sent a fast full toss

the other gave a grunt, then bop, and sent it back across.

Another on a ladder was shouting rules and regs.

An' a boy would run across the court on tiny speedy legs.

I wuz goin' to the kitchen to get myself a beer

when, from the room I heard, the tele'  give a cheer.

Back and forth, the yellow ball, wuz  wizzin'  'cross the court

As two men chased and hit it, in this battle that they fought.

I've sat an' watched for ages, been bored out of my brain,

I couldn't sit through any more it wuz  drivin' me insane.

So this wuz tennis Wimbledon, can't relate to all the fuss.

Switched  off  the  blummin'  tele,  went to the pictures on the bus.

I think watching golf is even more boring than watching tennis.
