Chapter (5) WHAT DID MUM SAY ???

A Chapter by MAD ENGLISHMAN
"

SOMETHING I WAS WORKING ON FOR CHRISTMAS BUT NEVER MANGED TO FINISH IT

"

WHAT DID MUM SAY ????

The tree is bought and on the car

And tied with bits of rope,

It wasn't safe, we all knew that

So we travelled home in hope.

Before we're there it's fallen down

and dragging on the street.

One side is worn and looking grim,

the top side looks a treat.

Dad dragged it down the hallway

and forced it through the doors.

The tree left all it's needles

spread out across the floors.

We stood it by the window,

we put the brown bits to the wall.

Though the top was bent and broken

we hoped the angel wouldn't fall.

Mum brought the box of Baubles

And a pack of tinsel too,

and a length of Christmas lights

of yellow red and blue.

It took about an hour

to decorate our tree.

It was the most beautiful

that you would ever see.

Then a single lonely Santa Clause

we found upon the chair,

he looked so bright and shiny

couldn't just put him anywhere.

I held him up and told my mum

he's really nice you see.

She said then go and hang him,

by the balls upon the tree.

Ouch.

Thank you Luna.
You went a long way to tell that joke, didn't you.

You could expand this to make a really good story for Christmas.
