Chapter (37) THE FISHING TRIPA Chapter by MAD ENGLISHMAN.THE FISHING TRIP
I've
always liked to fish , it's peaceful and relaxing Except
the time I took my son, it turned stressful and quite taxing. I'd found a spot where we could sit, where others
would not pass Got
out the rods and landing nets, and laid them on the grass.
I
told my son he must take care, and watch where is walking despite
all that he trampled them, on his phone too busy talking. I
let it pass and set them up, with float and hook and bait And
then I showed him how to cast and told him he must wait.
Well
he waited all of two minutes before he reeled in Then
stepping backwards didn't look, and tipped the maggot tin. Then
swinging round with rod in hand he stuck it in a bush He
pulled too hard and broke the line because he had to rush.
I
wasn't mad, I took control and sat him in a chair I
finished the re tackling, but my son just wasn't there. Where
are you son I frantic cried, he'd vanished just like that Then
back he came still texting, he'd been to get his hat.
It
wasn't even sunny, but he said it just looked cool, I
don't know who, on that day, had been the biggest fool. It's
dangerous to mess about when fishing by deep water he
worries me sometimes so much, I wish we'd had a daughter.
She could stay at home with mum when
I go fishing. © 2017 MAD ENGLISHMANAuthor's Note
