Chapter (102) IN MEMORY OF MY BROTHER IN LAWA Chapter by MAD ENGLISHMAN IN MEMORY OF MY BROTHER IN LAW
My sisters' husband passed away While driving home from work one day His car then stopped upon a lawn He never knew his heart had torn. A doctor stopped to give him aid Too late, and so on grass was laid a man of character and lore, a man who'd helped so many more. His wife was home when she was told This cannot be, he's not that old What happened ? where is my dear Rick? It can't be true he's never sick." He worked so hard from leaving school He gained
respect, was no mans fool A home he built from bricks and mortar For wife and son and
lovely daughter. He played his music, it made us proud He
gave his time for any crowd Who needed help to ease their plight. For many causes he would
fight. Hospital radio he made His legacy, each day still played Across the county far and wide To hear it is to bring us pride. For 40 years he gave his
heart from wife and children he'd
never part. He loved them so with every breath still loves them even after
death. Colleagues, family and friends were there All gathered close and offered prayer And
now he lays upon a hill Keeping
watch on his family still. Rick we all miss
you. © 2017 MAD ENGLISHMAN |
