Chapter (38) MY DAD

A Chapter by MAD ENGLISHMAN

Chapter (35) MY DAD

MY DAD

I love my father though grey and old

To think him gone leaves me stone cold.

Not so supple and slightly bent

He thinks that bingo is time well spent.

He eats so little it worries me

His ebbing strength is plain to see.

He bets on horses at the track

Plays Lawn green bowls that hurts his back

He likes to garden when he can

He likes to feel he's still a man

Who has some value in this life

But he's not the same since he lost his wife.

We all must lose our parents eventually. It sounds as if our father has some positive things in his life, and you aren't the least of them.
