Chapter 4: At The Palace

     Once I got to the palace I asked a guard if I could talk to him.  At first he didn't seem to sure about it but agreed.  I asked him, "When the king and queen leave the place of the throne doesn't the next generation take their place?"

         "Yes, but ma'am any further information is confidential."

   I had forgotten that that information wouldn't be open to the public.  I had to find a way to get my hands on that information.  I walked off and thought, " How can I get that gaurd to tell me everything?"

    As I was walking I saw a clothes shop.  I remembered reading a book that showed a fuzzy picture of a woman with a caption underneath it that said,

             " Palace official of guards"

   That's it! I could dress up in the clothes like what she was wearing.  As I walked in a woman came and greeted me.  I asked her where the dresses were and was on my way.

   As I walked up to the gaurd I decided that I should probally change my voice to a different pitch. 

           " Gaurd! Attention!!"

  The gaurd turned around and saluted me.  So far this was working.

          "I want to talk to you. Why hasn't the next generation taken place of the throne?"

          " Because the enemy has captured her as a hostage mam!"

        Well that made sence to me. Whoever this bad guy was, he obviously had a grudge against that whole family.

            "Is the princess married?" I continued.

           " No mam!"

            " And why is this man angry with the queen and king?"

            " Because thay killed his mother and father and made him watch it against his own will.  He was then shipped off to his aunt's house and was treated very badly. He grew up wanting revenge against them.  He hates seeing anybody happy because he can't be happy."

        " Is that all the information we know?"

         " Yes mam!"

          " Very well. Get back to work."
