I Baked You an Apple Pie

I Baked You an Apple Pie

A Poem by Mara
"

A slice of a moment when one gets stuck thinking of a passed on loved one.

"

I baked you an apple pie
On the day that you died.
You are mine,
Forever
For all of time.
I baked you an apple pie.

At holiday dinner,
The family laughs
The children chat,
"More ice cream
on mine."
Shouts the one getting fat.

I baked you an apple pie
On the day that you died..
I baked you an apple pie.
Words begs to subside.
I baked you an apple pie.
