Leaves In The Wind

Leaves In The Wind

A Poem by Dave
"

A metaphorical look at life.

"

Bright, colorful leaves dance

through the air and all around.

Each current will someday stop and

cause its leaf to fall upon the ground.

What color are those fallen leaves

in the dark of night?

Are they still as vibrant as the others

in the blanching moonlight?

This is beautiful. Are we the same souls during the time we are on top, as the times when we are down? Are we the same by night as we are by day? Are we the same during life as we are at death? I am not sure what your what your true meaning is behind this work, but that's what I read from it. Regardless, this is nicely penned, it flows great. This poem provokes thought, and you say a tremendous amount and stirr up strong emotions for such a short piece. Great write.
