Remembrance By Dark WatersA Poem by DaveA fictional telling of lost love.As he stood by the dark waters, it mirrored the pale moon in the sky. His sight was drawn to the image and was soon blurred by the tears in his eye.
She had been his only love in this cold world and had kept his heart warm through the many nights. Their marriage had been blissful and joyous Between the droughts of sorrows and fights.
But that all came to a bitter end when Death came knocking at their door. Upon entry into their home of love and bliss, Death stole her away across Styx's shore.
He wiped his tears away with a shivering hand, moonlight reflecting off the golden band. © 2008 DaveAuthor's Note
