The Boxing Match of a Lifetime

The Boxing Match of a Lifetime

A Poem by Dave
"

A friend was recently having a bad day and said "Some days, it doesn't pay to get out of bed." This inspired me to write the following poem. I hope that the boxing metaphor wasn't lost on her...

"

Life hits me hard and I fall unconscious to the canvas

My alarm clock trainer begs me to get up

I get up on the 8 count like I do every time

End of the round

Pep talk

Strategy discussion

Rinse mouth

Adjust gear

I'm ready again for the next round!
