Cactus Soul

Cactus Soul

A Poem by MachinaWriter

I've had a problem
Where I can't tell the weeds and flowers apart
pulling up roots with calloused hands.
Now the garden in my heart is devoured by barren, blasted sands;
turns out though, I didn't know, it can rain in the desert
Really, who'd have thought?
Now this cactus soul,
has enough to grow,
with the waters that its caught.
