Where will I go?

the path I need

crawling in an attempt

to stall what fate has sent

where will this path lead?

 

I struggle

I crawl

I rise

and I fall

I hope

and I cry

I live

and I die.

I breathe

and I choke

I'm burdened

by this yoke

I'm burdened

by a lot;

and give

what I can give

it's all that I've got.

Sorry I haven't been on for a while. You know...life lol I just wrote for the sake of writing, so not a lot of thought or time was put into this.

and you did give it your all. Heart..soul...blood, sweat and tears. It is too much at times is it not? Sharing the core of our well-being. Sometimes it is so theraputic to write just to write..who cares if you don't have a reason....to deny your pen would be treason.

I've got a decent amount done, but I'm losing steam. So, I'm thinking I'll do some poetry for a bit, take a break. Then go back and edit the stuff I've already done from a new perspective and see if I can't pick up fresh ideas along the way.

I've got just over 80,000 words so far, and I am constantly editing. I need to stop messing with it and just finish the damn thing. What is yours about, if you don't mind my asking? Mine is detective fiction...

It's a science fiction novel about a group of ex-mercenaries reuniting to discover who killed the old leader of their group. They're dysfunctional group with a lot of history and problems. One is a cocky, arrogant a*s who refuses to step up to the leadership role he's meant to take. One is a promiscious, slightly crazed, yet oh-so-lovable drug addict. Another is depressed doctor with a very big secret to his past. There's conspiracy, questions about morality and human ethics, oh and in this future they've discovered the human soul to be something real and tangible and that if injected becomes a permanent high. So you get these "soul junkies".
