![]() Sins of an AngelA Poem by MachinaWriter![]() A new kind of poem for me...![]() She’s a
winter saint,
pure, she can cure your twisted taint with but a faint
-smile.
Every step is a dance of grace,
-soft-footed ballet
I must say, I think I see a trace
of something else on that face.
As she bites that lower lip,
-tracing the lines on her dress
with her fingertips,
my heart’s distressed, I must
confess
I’ve forgot the dance,
I'm lost in the melody. Head-over heels.
Like the ones she’s wearing.
And as she moves, I’m stuck staring,
at her every motion.
I think I found reason for devotion.
I never pray, but I might begin.
She moves smooth like the ocean,
and I feel like diving in.
She’s an angel,
-but she makes me want to sin.
So there you go,
-hang up that halo.
Drop the dress
and we’ll forget the rest of the world and its pain. I'll hold you close, -amidst the rain.
I’ll whisper a prayer,
-against your skin.
When no one’s there,
-this angel sins.
She’s an angel of winter,
-because God sent her.
Even at the room’s edge
-she’s in the center.
She dances words in my ear,
-as I hold her near. And though their full of fear, -I try and clear the tears.
I’ll hug you tight, this winter
night
-on a rug by the fire,
casting shadows of us,
wrapped up in desire.
Kissing prayers to you,
-taking your flame higher.
And when we’re done,
-she’ll put that halo on,
and lay close to me.
Listening to my heart beat,
-inside my chest.
Creating our own heat,
-as we simply rest.
She’s a winter saint,
pure, she can cure
my twisted taint, with but a faint
-smile.
But unfortunately, it's been a while
since I’ve seen that side of you.
And every day I wish
-there was something I could do.
That with a single kiss,
-I could help you fly again.
This beautiful girl,
-this angel that sins.
