Trust me, my friend...A Poem by MachinaWriterA poem for a great friend and a wonderful person...I whispered: trust
in me, my friend, can’t you see we’re
more than our sins, but we have to
begin to open up so let me in. You say you don’t
think you deserve it, that any love
that’s worth it, won’t fit in with your life,
so you forget, -hope and you desert
it. But you’re
beautiful, in the way you speak, -and yet somehow,
you feel weak, drawing your
outline in chalk, you shut down, you
don’t talk you’ve stopped
trying to seek. But you’re able to
inspire, -you’re able to
take my thoughts and lift them higher forming an ivory
spire of hope and I won’t tire, my only desire that
I see you smile. That you realize,
that though it may be a while, you’ll find
everything you want. Everything you
deserve. You’ve been down on
the road of life, but you’re coming to
the curve, the end of strife. I whisper: trust in
me, my friend, can’t you see we’re
destined to win? Open up to hope,
you must begin to trust in me. There’s so many
things I want you to see. Yes, this world is
full of hate, but if you believe in fate you must believe me
when I say, its never too late. © 2012 MachinaWriterReviews
